I recently bought an album of Burt Bacharach Songs sung by Steve Tyrell. I've never heard of Steve Tyrell until I was introduced to one of his songs through Cedy, a friend of mine. JoJo was never too much of a music fan. She'd rather read in the car than to listen to music. A lot of times, the albums I put on when driving simply drove her crazy. Funny enough, she seemed to like all the songs written by Burt Bacharach. Like "What the World Needs Now," Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head", seemed to be JoJo's favorites. In the album, there was one song called "Alfie". Honestly, when I first heard of that song's title, I thought that "Alfie's" name sounds like a dog. What I found out later on the internet was that "Alfie" was a title of a movie and Alfie was a playboy who seduced women in love. Well, I told JoJo who "Alfie" really was and she said, "That's a dog!".
It was interesting to see that JoJo likes some of the oldies. She seems to have a good interest in light jazz music. Steve Tyrell sang all Burt Bacharach songs with a jazz flavor. I don't know if JoJo's taste in music will change as time passes. But definitely, I'm glad she favors that kind of music over hip-hop!
